Jabsco “New” Style and “Old” Style Pumps

Jabsco impeller pumps can be separated into two categories: New Style and Old Style. The Old Style pumps have the O-Ring seals held in place by sharp-edged grooves on either side of the pump body and a carbon-faced rubber shaft seal that is adjusted by moving a seal collar. The O-Ring seals in the New Style pumps are in grooves in the End Cover and Wearplate; the pump bodies have smooth sides and the shaft seal, held in place by a collar, is self-adjusting. The only parts that are interchangeable between the Old and New style pumps are the O-Rings, bearings, bearing seals, retaining rings, impellers, clamps and clamp screws. Before ordering parts be sure which type of Jabsco Pure Flow Flexible Impeller Pump you are using.
